A Message from the President
Our Board of Directors
Denver Area Premier Production
Company serving the special needs community by integrating this unique group
with area theatrical talent of all levels.
Magic Moments Inc is a non-profit organization, established in
1983 to produce an annual musical and theatrical production. Each production
integrates persons with physical and developmental disabilities into the total performing
cast of amateurs and professionals. The mix is truly magical for everyone
involved - cast, staff, and our audience. The goals of the organization are to
raise community awareness of the special
gifts of persons with physical and developmental disabilities, and provide our
diverse range of cast members an opportunity to give back to their own community
through theatrical performance. The culmination of our efforts provide
a significant artistic production for the enjoyment by the entire community.
The direct costs of producing the yearly performance are covered by grants,
corporate and patron sponsors, donations,
ticket sales and program advertising. The majority of production cast and crew participants are
volunteers at the professional and amateur level of all ages and are drawn from the greater Denver metropolitan area.
Through these ongoing annual productions and independent fundraising events, Magic Moments
has been able to support area organizations that serve
persons with disabilities. Magic
Moments has distributed close to $200,000 since the organization's
inception. Recipients have used
these funds in programs involving educational and vocational training as well as
recreational and public showings of the artistic accomplishments of
developmentally and physically challenged individuals.
Magic Moments membership is open to everyone. Every year we need new
talent, both on and off the stage. If you would like to become a part of our
Magic Moments family, please send us an email, info@magicmomentsinc.org.
A
Message from the President...
As always, in our upcoming production we will be providing a quality original production and pulling
together the diversity found in our community - developmentally disabled,
amateur and professionals on the stage together - across several
generations (ages 5 to 75 at the last show) with a strong involvement by
the children and teens in the cast.
We hope that our efforts to bring
people of differing abilities together to celebrate life through drama,
song, and dance, will bring you a special bit a joy this coming year.
Please join us for
some truly magical moments as move forward with new, thought provoking,
original productions.
