About
Magic Moments
Our Mission:
Magic Moments produces original
musical theater that includes amateurs, special needs, and professional
performers of all ages fostering an environment of acceptance, growth, learning
and support for our members and the larger community.
Magic Moments, Inc. is a non-profit organization, established in
1983, that produces an annual musical and theatrical production. Each production
integrates persons with physical and developmental disabilities into the total performing
cast of amateurs and professionals. The mix is truly magical for everyone
involved - cast, staff, and our audience.
The goals of the organization
are to raise community awareness of the special
gifts of persons with physical and developmental disabilities and provide our
diverse cast an opportunity to give back to their community
through theatrical performance.
The culmination of our efforts provides
a significant artistic production enjoyed by the entire community.
The direct costs of producing the yearly performance are covered by grants,
corporate and patron sponsors, donations,
ticket sales and program advertising. The majority of production cast and crew participants are
volunteers comprised of professionals and amateurs of all ages, and are drawn from the greater Denver metropolitan area. Through these ongoing annual productions and independent fundraising events, Magic Moments
has supported area organizations that serve
persons with disabilities. Magic
Moments has distributed over $200,000 since the organization's
inception. Recipients have used
these funds for artistic, educational recreational and vocational training for
people with physical and developmental disabilities.
Magic Moments membership is open to everyone. Every year we need new
talent, both on and off the stage. If you would like to become a part of our
Magic Moments family, please send an e-mail to info@magicmomentsinc.org.

A
Message from the President
As always, in our upcoming production we
will create a quality, original production and pull
together the diversity found in our community, with disabled,
amateur and professionals on stage together across several
generations (ages 5 to 75), with a strong involvement from children and teens.
We hope our efforts to bring
people of differing abilities together to celebrate life through drama,
song and dance will bring a special bit of joy to this coming year.
Please join us for
some truly "magical moments" as we move forward with new,
thought-provoking and original productions.
