Register now for our Fall 2022 Workshops

We are pleased to announce the registration is now open for our 8th annual fall workshops which take place on October 22 2022 between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at Waterstone Community Church, 5890 S. Alkire St, Littleton, CO 80127.

Want a step up on auditions? Brand new to theatre? Make plans now to attend our workshop! Whether you’re new to theatre or you’ve done several shows, this workshop will offer pointers and tips that will help you nail that next audition AND be more familiar with the stage around you.  Here’s what we have in store for you!

  • Mock Audition – Laura High

This is an informational and action-packed workshop that will have you on stage learning and trying new things.  Workshops are rotating so you will be able to participate in all of them! Partners will be available. Check in begins at 8:30 am, workshops start promptly at 9:00 am.

Space is limited.  Cost is $30.  You must be at least 8 years old to attend.

  • Please bring your audition piece, lyrics with music and tracks for mock audition
  • Please wear appropriate clothing for movement
  • Bring a snack, water is provided

Workshop Instructors

Dana Hart Wright is an actor/singer/director who has performed in NY, regionally and throughout the Denver metro area. She holds a BM in musical theatre from NYU and an MFA in theatre performance from Naropa University. Upon receiving her MFA, Dana taught acting and musical theatre on the college level for a number of years. As a career changer, after teaching special education for years, Dana now works for 27J schools in Brighton coaching all of the district’s secondary special education teachers. Dana also maintains a private voice and acting studio out of her home where she works with students ages 7 through adult. Her next project is directing “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” for Ovation West in Evergreen. As a member of the Magic Moments Board of Directors, Dana is elated to be participating in this workshop.

Laura High has been involved with Magic Moments since 1994! She is a well know voice teacher and costumer and has used both those talents in past productions of magic moments. Magic Moments allows everyone to realize their theater fantasies and Laura is very proud to be a part of this great organization!

Anna Maria High is well known for brassy, buxom, belty roles with attitude. Best known for the one woman show Hi Hat Hattie, and her portrayal of Serena in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess at the Aurora Fox. Other credits: The SpongeBob Musical (Pearl Krabs); White Christmas (Martha Watson); Avenue Q (Gary Coleman); Disenchanted (The Princess Who Kissed the Frog); Once on this Island (Mama Euralie); The Color Purple (Sofia); Dreamgirls (Effie White); Chicago (Mama Morton); Smokey Joe’s Cafe (BJ); Violet the Musical (Lula); Ragtime (Sarah’s Friend).

Adrianne is an award-winning musical theatre performer and choreographer. LA credits include being a two-time Scenie Award and ITL Award winner for her performances in Chicago and Born Yesterday. She recently performed Cassie in A Chorus Line at Sierra Repertory Theatre, performed several supporting roles at the Candlelight Theatre, Sheila in A Chorus Line at Centerstage in Fontana and danced professionally in a contemporary dance company in LA and Danced professionally in NY. She also played Val in A Chorus Line under the direction of Kay Cole the original “Maggie”. Denver credits include being the first Cassie to perform the original choreography that was used in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line under the direction of Michael Gorman. She also starred as Cassie in A Chorus Line at the Pace Center, has performed many performances at the Arvada Center and played Mrs. Wilkinson in Billy Elliot at the Vintage Theatre. She won Best Actress for her performance as Olive in Bullets Over Broadway as well as winning best choreography for Tuck Everlasting at the vintage theatre. She earned 3 nominations from Broadway World and won two for best choreography. She was also nominated for many performances. Adrianne also won 2 Best Choreographer Awards from The Marlowe Awards.
