KQ
Artistic Director
About
KQ started working with Magic Moments in 1984, its second year. He began writing and
directing the productions in 1992 with “One More Angel In Heaven” and has written and
directed all of them since.
Two of my favorite memories:
-I received criticism from an audience member that she saw only 4 Special Needs
Actors in the show when there were actually 39.
-One of the actors said to me that being in Magic Moments was the first time he
had ever been treated like a normal person.
In addition to his work with Magic Moments, KQ helped start the Denver School of the
Arts.
In 1993 KQ served as the Production Manager for World Youth Day here in Denver
while directing Pope John Paul II’s play, writing and directing Magic Moments, and
designing and building sets for two high school productions.
He has worked in many capacities in theaters in the Denver area as well as around the
nation and was a Henry Judge for many years.
He has a degree in theater and in teaching as well as pre-med among others. He has
studied at several universities and the school of life.
He currently resides on planet Earth and has no intention of moving.
