Registration for Magic Moments “Another Night at Nick’s” is now open! Everyone should plan to come sometime between 1pm and 3pm on December 7, 2025, at Columbine United Church.

If you didn’t Audition then please fill out a registration form below. If you did Audition you still need to attend to select your krewes etc but don’t need to fill out another form.

It is 15 years after the big Birthday Bash at Nick’s Bar and Grill and it is ranked in the top five in town. The bar has been remodeled with some disagreement, the staff has had some turnover, and a famous Blogger is interviewing Nick and Doreen on the bar’s success. A random musician shows up, sits in with the band and plays “Piano Man”. Several patrons video this and it goes viral and morphs into “Billy Joel is at Nick’s!” Let the mayhem begin!

Some of the locals are back, such as Mormons, the Pirates, and the Pinball Wizard. Also dropping in are the Mob, the Billy Joel Fan Club, and MacGregor with his Irish Step Dancers. Leon still inhabits his spot at the bar. Songs include “Beat It’, “Marry You”, “The Rainy Day We Met”, “Living On A Prayer”, “Stay”, “American Land”, Piano Man”, and “I’m Gonna Be 500 Miles”. There are some “beer” songs as well. Lots of opportunities for character parts and solos.

Registration for Magic Moments “Don’t Stop Believin’” is now open! Everyone should plan to come sometime between 10:00am and 2:00pm on December 7, 2024, at Waterstone Community Church.

If you didn’t Audition then please sign up for a registration window in order to even out the crowds. If you did Audition we still need you to come to registration!

So, you graduated college with a musical theater degree, what do you do now? We explore that quandary going through many different auditions and jobs to find out if you really believe in yourself. In theater, just like baseball, you will not get a “hit” most of the time. Do you have what it takes to keep going?

Basic Rehearsal Schedule

All Adult, High School, and Middle School cast members are required to attend rehearsal on Sundays from 1:00pm – 4:30pm beginning January 26th.  

    – NOTE: This timing is extended to a 6pm ending time for Sunday 3/1 and Sunday 3/16.

All Kids Cast members (Elementary school-aged children) are required to attend Saturday morning rehearsals from 9:00am – 11:30am beginning February 1st.  

    – NOTE: Sunday 3/16 from 1-6pm is also a mandatory rehearsal for the Kids Cast.

Adult and Teen cast members who are interested in being considered for numbers in addition to those rehearsed on Sundays will have that opportunity.  A form, collected at Registration on December 7th, will gather information regarding the interest and availability of each cast member for these rehearsals, to assist the Production Team in casting these smaller choruses (called Krewes).   

These additional numbers will fall into one of these rehearsal times:

  • Sundays from 4:30pm – 6:00pm
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays from 7:00pm – 8:30pm and/or 8:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Saturday mornings from 9:30am – 12:00pm

** Note – the Sat AM rehearsals will be for high energy dance numbers.  Our teen cast members are encouraged to prioritize these rehearsals on their forms, if available.

Leads and Supporting Roles will be required at 2-3 additional rehearsal days each week (see above for additional rehearsal time possibilities) – exact schedule will be determined after the November casting, taking into consideration conflicts for Lead and Supporting actors.

Tech Week for ALL actors:

  • Saturday, March 22nd is a double-rehearsal from 7:30am – 4:00pm.  
  • Sunday, March 23rd from 1:00pm – 6:00pm.  
  • Monday thru Wednesday 3/24-3/26 from 6:00pm – 10:30pm, with call times beginning as early as 5pm for Leads and Supporting Roles.  

 ** Kids Cast will not be called on Monday 3/24, but will be expected to stay until 10:30pm for the dress rehearsals on 3/25 and 3/26. **

A detailed rehearsal schedule will be posted in the Cast Portal after the FULL Cast List is posted in mid-December.

Sign up today to audition for Magic Moments annual production, Don’t Stop Believin’

So, you graduated college with a musical theater degree, what do you do now? We explore that quandary going through many different auditions and jobs to find out if you really believe in yourself. In theater, just like baseball, you will not get a “hit” most of the time. Do you have what it takes to keep going?

Want to sing a solo? This script demands over 20 different soloists. Some of the songs include: “Take on the World”, “Karma”, “All About the Green”, “I Hope I Get It”, “Brave”, “Taylor the Latte Boy”, “Never Enough”, and, of course, “Don’t Stop Believin’”. The roles include the Graduate, a Barista or two, the Parents, several auditioners and directors, and several job associates among other chances to star.

Audition Info

  • Date: Auditions are on Saturday, November 2 for adults and teens, and on Sunday, November 3 for kids
  • Location: Waterstone Community Church – 5890 S Alkire St Littleton, CO 80127.
  • Prepare: 16 bars of prepared music. Come dressed to dance/move. Bring a Headshot and resume (if you have one)
  • Show Calendar: Rehearsals for adults and teens begin January 26, 2025, Kids begin February 1, 2025
  • Ages: 5 (Kindergarten) and up

Registration for the 2024 Show

Registration for Magic Moments “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” is now open! Everyone should plan to come sometime between 10:00am and 1:00pm on December 2, 2023, at Waterstone Community Church. We are trying something new this year. Instead of a story developed from songs we like, we have decided to do: “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” – the musical. Based on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, we are placing the show at Mardi Gras in New Orleans in the present day. It will take place both in N.O. with the Rex Krewe and in the swamps and bayous of Louisiana. Since it is loosely based on Shakespeare’s funniest play, there are many roles and complications. A fun time will be had by all. We will be needing a Mardi Gras King and Queen, a King and Queen of the Swamp people, some bewitched couples, a group of ne’er do well actors, some lost children, a magical trickster (named Puck of course!), several Krewes (it is Mardi Gras after all), and, of course, Amos Moses among many others.
 
We can’t wait to see you back for this year’s fun and magic!

Auditions Now Open for the 2023 Show

Sign up today to audition for Magic Moments annual production, The Envelope.

This year’s production: “The Envelope” centers around a small group of nerds accidently recruited to get a highly secret “Envelope” safely to NYC while being pursued by the nefarious MALICE organization. They run into many complications along the way like lack of money and transportation, weather, festivals, and even cows. The show calls for the Nerds, some spies like 007,008, and 000, the MALICE Boss and henchmen, a versatile Driver, some teen agents/operatives, some very self-assured kids, an Elvis imitator M/F, and many more supporting roles with many solos, and, of course, lots of chorus doing amazing things.

Registration for 2022 Show

  • November 15, 2021

Registration for the 2022 Show “Take the High Road” is happening on December 4th at Waterstone Community Church between 10am and 1pm. Attendance at Registration Day is mandatory for anyone who did not audition!

To speed up the online registration process we have an online form for registration open here: https://magicmomentsinc.org/get-involved/registration/. Filling in the form in advance will expedite your time on Registration Day. Folks who have trouble filling in the online form will be able to complete the form in person at Waterstone on December 4.

After you register you will receive an email confirmation. You will then complete the registration process on December 4th:

  • Partner information will be provided

Sign up today to audition for Magic Moments 37th annual production, Take the High Road.

“Take the High Road”, this year’s MM production, features romance, betrayal, money, protests, fishing, deceased wildlife, donuts, all those things that go into an exciting and fun musical experience. There’ll even be a dash of drama. The roles include a developer, a female mechanic, their entourages, a mayor, some hippies, a dead guy, an egotistical Broadway star, some “Broadway” dancers, a crusty old fisherman, a town council, and various other denizens of a small, soon to be large, town.

Auditions are on Saturday, November 2 for adults and teens, and on Sunday, November 3 for kids and take place at Waterstone Community Church – 5890 S Alkire St Littleton, CO 80127. Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 5 2020 and performances are the last week in March, 2020.

Sign up today to audition for Magic Moments 36th annual production, Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

“Boulevard of Broken Dreams”, this year’s MM production, follows a person who has lost his/her will to dream. This may be due to the Parent, education, current society, dead-end job, many factors. This one is a “serious” show, like when we did “The Child”. There is , of course, some humor thrown in for good measure. The ending will be unusual but “Magic Moments-y”. This year’s production features songs from “The Greatest Showman”, “Sing”, “Miss Saigon”, and “Rent” to name but a few. Also included are songs by Pink Floyd, Imagine Dragons, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, Florence +The Machine, and Disturbed’s – “Sound of Silence”. The roles include a Dreamer, a Mentor, the Parent, the Child Dreamer, an epic Dancer, a mouthy Waitress, a disgruntled Patron, the four Dreamers: Fame, Fortune, Love, and Peace, and many others. There will be some big, intricate, dances this year as well.

Auditions are on Saturday, November 3 for adults and teens, and on Sunday, November 4 for kids and take place at Waterstone Community Church – 5890 S Alkire St Littleton, CO 80127. Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 6 2019 and performances are March 21 to 24, 2019.
