The State of the Union, Magic Moments Style

Hello Magic Moments community! I know this is probably a long time coming, but first and foremost I wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to our community at large for their tremendous support during these unprecedented times! The continued support we have shown each other through social media and other forms of communication has been great. Not knowing exactly what the future holds, I felt now would be a good time to let everyone know the state of Magic Moments and how we are planning to weather the storm.

As of this writing, Magic Moments is still a solvent and operating Non-Profit business. While we do have some cash reserves, not being able to have performances last year severely impacted our bottom line. We were blessed by many contributions of ticket sales that helped keep things going. It is doubtful that a show will be possible this year, but the board is looking into other events that can keep our community together and active. More on that will follow as plans solidify.

In the meantime, the best thing we can do is stay positive, stay in touch, and do our best to keep going until we get through this epic pandemic that has been felt especially in the arts community. Fundraising will be the best thing we can do to be sure we are in a good financial position once things turn around. If you have any suggestions or ideas please let us know, talk to your companies about sponsorship, or maybe discuss gifting within your families. According to Philanthropy News Digest about a third of nonprofits are expected to close within the year, we will work hard not to be in that category!

Much love to you all and hope to see you soon!

Magic Moments 2020 Update

It is with a heavy heart we announce that the 2020 Magic Moments production of Take the High Road scheduled for March 26-29, 2020 has been cancelled.

The safety and health of our cast, staff and audience is paramount.  As the board and staff were in the process of making this difficult decision it was taken out of our hands as the school district closed, eliminating our access to the venue for the performances.  The board of directors and the production team are working tirelessly to address this situation – one which we had never hoped to find ourselves in – and we appreciate your support during this difficult time.

Like many of the local community theater organizations, Magic Moments depends on revenue from our productions along with donations from our loving patrons to help keep our “magic” alive.  We appreciate your patronage in 2020, and we will be reaching out to you shortly with more information on our process for issuing refunds.  If you have any urgent questions you may email us at sales@magicmomentsinc.org or call 303-575-1005 and leave a message.  We will make every effort to respond within 48 hours, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through hundreds of individual situations affected by this situation.

Due to the inclusive nature of our organization, we have a keen understanding of the threat that COVID-19 presents to the many “high risk” people in our community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are struggling with the direct effects of the virus, and with those who are working tirelessly to care for them.

We appreciate your support of Magic Moments for the past 37 years, and we look forward to providing you with more “magic” in 2021.  We will be in touch again soon.
